  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 cup2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt

Method
 

  1. Prepare the workspace. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and sugar. Place softened butter and sugar in a bowl. Mix until light and fluffy using steady, circular movements.
  3. Add remaining ingredients. Add flour, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Mix slowly until a soft dough forms.
  4. Roll the dough. Lightly flour the surface. Use a rolling pin to roll the dough to about ½ inch thickness.
  5. Cut flower shapes. Press the flower-shaped cookie cutter into the dough and gently lift to create cookie shapes.
  6. Arrange on tray. Place cookies carefully onto the baking tray, leaving small spaces between each one.
  7. Bake with supervision. With adult help, bake for 10–12 minutes until the edges turn lightly golden.
  8. Cool and enjoy. Let cookies cool before serving and enjoy your blooming creations!
