Measure the dry ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together 2 cups flour, 1 tsp baking soda, and 1/2 tsp baking powder.
Mix the wet ingredients: In another bowl, beat 1/2 cup butter, 3/4 cup sugar, and 1/4 cup milk until soft and fluffy.
Combine ingredients: Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients to form a soft dough.
Prepare cookies: Lightly flour a surface and roll out the dough. Use a leaf-shaped cookie cutter to cut out shapes.
Decorate: Let children sprinkle the 2–3 tbsp sprinkles on top of each cookie.
Bake: Place cookies on a baking tray and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10–12 minutes until lightly golden.
