MARYAM POURKOHAN
From her early days at Christ Church Pre-K School in 2003, Maryam showed undeniable dedication to nurturing young souls. Her trajectory, marked by a commitment to excellence, saw her take on leadership roles at Sunshine Daycare, where she laid the foundation for holistic childhood development, catering to a wide age range and fostering a nurturing learning environment.
In 2013, her lifelong dream took root with the birth of Kids USA Montessori. This initial foray in Plano was just the beginning. Under Maryam’s visionary leadership, it flourished into a multi-campus educational haven.
More than just an educator or an entrepreneur, Maryam is a childcare community pillar. Recognized by peers and industry stalwarts, she’s created a network of learning and support for the young minds she guides and the numerous educators she employs. Through her endeavors, she continues to radiate her core values of love, support, and inclusive education to all corners of North Texas.

When I founded Kids USA Montessori in 2013, my goal was to create more than a school. I wanted to build a nurturing community where children could feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn. As both an educator and a mother, I have always believed that every child deserves an environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and confidence.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of watching thousands of children grow, discover their strengths, and develop a genuine love for learning. These experiences continue to inspire me every day. At Kids USA Montessori, we remain committed to providing meaningful educational experiences that support the whole child academically, socially, emotionally, and personally.
Our mission has always been guided by a simple belief: when children are respected, supported, and given opportunities to explore at their own pace, they develop the skills and character needed to thrive throughout life. It is an honor to be part of each family’s journey, and I am grateful for the trust our community has placed in us for more than a decade.
